Peter & Esther Scarborough

Peter & Esther work with Hohidiai, a team devoted to helping people physically, emotionally and spiritually—especially the poor and marginalised.

The Hohidiai medical clinic in North Maluku, Indonesia provides rehabilitation for patients needing long-term medical care.

With a special focus on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and leprosy patients, the team doesn’t just provide medical support, but also focuses on educating the local community regarding these diseases.

“We endeavour to create safer, brighter futures preventing sexual abuse, domestic violence, trafficking and substance abuse. We facilitate interactive education sessions in schools and community groups and train teachers and leaders creating awareness and prevention as combat strategy. This project is never ending and extremely valuable in promoting healthy communities.”
